Bounce Back Recycling

In partnership with GTM and with support from EPA funding, we helped establish Bounce Back Recycling, a social enterprise now employing 15 people and processing 150,000 mattresses each year. This initiative fosters a circular economy, benefiting both the community and the environment.

Carnmore National School

As a former active chairperson of the Parents Association, we’ve worked to enhance school facilities, introducing iPads, math games, and a musical instrument rental program to offer diverse learning opportunities for students. We also introduced first aid courses for teachers and a junior entrepeurship programme for the children. Through fundraising and SEAI grants, we upgraded the school’s heating system, achieving a 30% reduction in fuel consumption, and installed a modular building for preschool children to create a single drop-off location for parents.

Carnmore GAA Club

With our executive team, we launched several projects, including constructing an astro pitch, utilized by over 150 players weekly, and a 1.5 km walking track around the pitches for safe, accessible exercise. We also built a fully equipped strength and conditioning gym accessible to all members. These projects, funded by grants and community events, encourage health, fitness, and community spirit.
We are committed to sustainable practices, securing support for solar panels, tree planting, and upgrading to LED lighting at our facilities.

Bizmentors Mentoring Programme

Shane has led a High Potential Startup company through funding rounds and has assisted companies to facilitate growth. Working with the Bizmentors programme for the last five years, Shane has offered mentoring and support on their business journey.
Shane had a keen interest in start up’s and supporting sustainable development of businesses. Also having worked with social enterprises in the past few years is keen to see growth and increased employment in this sector.
